Why didn't I win a Nobel Prize?

whines George W. Bush.

First of all, there is no award for starting wars.  Even badly planned and 

illegal ones.

Imagine that.

Also, there seems to be an absence of recognition for destroying a fabled American City.

Must be an oversight by the Nobel Committee.

Since Bush can not articulate himself verbally, it bodes badly for the written word.

Bu bye literature prize.

And don't expect the Pulitzer Committee to be knocking on your door.

Let's see, the only payoff for stealing Presidential elections is siphoning off public monies for friends and cronies.

No statues or worldwide acclaim.

Wait, George, you must have done something to receive some sort of prize.

But you couldn't even win national elections.  Either time.

Again, bad omen.

How about a prize for blocking science and medicine?

But what group would be ridiculous enough to present it?

Liberty University?  Former Senator Santorum doing the honors?

C'mon George, we need to get you a prize that wasn't stolen, broken or destroyed.

Maybe if the criteria for economics could be stretched to include capsizing the fiscal health of America.

But you didn't work alone. 

Bush built on the policies of Reagan, his father, and some of Bill Clinton's decisions.

Still it is an omission not to award leaders for total fiscal annihilation.

The conservatives do nothings ridiculed Al Gore for winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

The disdain came from a party that has (and continues) advocated wrong policies for decades and a talk show clown who only qualifies to be cited in the Guinness Book of Records.

For taking the most prescription pills and surviving.  Plus, not going to jail.

The only recognition that George W. Bush will receive is from historians who will rank him as the worst President of the United States thus far.

And by citizens who curse his name.

Indict him aleady.

Reaganomics and BGE

A long time ago, back before the implosion of our economy, I took a course about personal finance.

This was before the ravages of an immoral and cruel philosophy about an expendable middle class and

who cares a damn about the poor, manifested.

Supply side and trickle down economics simply does not work.  Proven.

Deregulation brings the collapse of said companies deregulated along with a tidal wave of graft, corruption

and billions for incompetence.

Reagan might have doddered around like a kindly grandfather but he was neither. 

He wasn't kind nor did  he function as any type of doting elder family member.

Nor was he a good President.

He loved the rich.

Seemingly no one else, not even his own progeny.

He let a disease ravage the gay community which then hopscotched over into the general population.

But I digress.  If I discussed the ruinous administration of RR, it would go on for pages.  Cough...

Saddam. 

Nicaragua. 

Panama.

Then, years later, Baby Bush stole into office, still admiring the fallacious policies of RR.

Capitalism my Aunt Mary.

Corporate welfare and favoritism feed by a constant war policy.

Bush, abetted by his father and yes, Bill Clinton, effectively destroyed the last vestiges of our country's

fiscal health.

I said that to state this.  Before all this occurred, I took a class in personal finance.

That is when owning a house was an asset.  It was recommended that folks move every five years,

because homes appreciated.  Guaranteed.

It was suggested to invest in utility stocks, because it was safe.  Such companies always made money.

Back then.

Let me introduce you to BGE, the Baltimore firm that collapsed under horrific leadership who was rewarded with obscene pay and bonuses.

BGE has a pole, slowly damaging the back wall in my yard.

The representative from that company who I am dealing with is as nasty as can be imagined. 

 Glad BGE is using her to interface with the public.

They will not move the pole.  I can pay to do it.  As for my concrete wall that continue to crack:

not their problem.

Well, BGE, make a profit, remember I am a customer with options.  As in buying my power somewhere else.

Also, move the utility pole.

Indict Bush.
