How about a nano second later?
Of course that would cause total chaos. Society would look like molecules under a glass, with an ever shifting, lurching, shape-changing microcosm.
So rules would have to be employed. Only truely evil acts would merit immediate retribution.
No, that would not be network executives trying to make money and rearranging pampered entertainers.
Nor would the casual criminal or minimalist liar feel the consequences at once.
Such cause and effect in rapid time would be reserved for the extremely venal folks, especially those considered leaders.
Pat Robertson, who apparently studies history up his ass, has declared that Haiti entered into a pact with the devil to remove French rule.
Really? Sidebar: What other country in this hemisphere was able to throw over a colonizing mother country?
The United States, for one.
But I digress. The whole deal with Satan thing was Robertson's, a self declared Christian, reaction to the hell in Haiti.
Solution, transpose him there immediately. Include his family, who then become missing. Place him under rubble somewhere in Haiti, fighting for air, rescue and his life.
Ditto for Rush Limbaugh. He finds himself in this country, near death and devastated.
Seemingly good folks could find themselves at the mercy of instant karma, if they surround themselves with bad people. That means, President Obama, you could be out of a job since you engineered a jobless recovery and are interested only in the greedy bankers who created the economic collapse.
Bush and Cheney would have been snuffed out decades ago.
Which segues to a real benefit of IK- no one would be able to murder millions, or even thousands.
The would be cut down before the tally is even double digits.
Instant karma would also even out the glaring inequities of life. No celebrity would earn 10,000 per tweet for endorsements while most of the world does not have the the basics of existence.
When anyone disappeared in a puff of smoke, witnesses could be assured that justice was done.
Speaking of which:
Indict Bush.
wondrous!
